Every Switzerland game on this site, ranked by top-prize odds, with the tax rules and the regulator. All odds derived from the published rules.
| Game | Top-prize odds | Any-prize odds | Ticket | Cost per unit of jackpot chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Swiss Lotto | 1 in 31,474,716 | 1 in 34.41 | CHF 2.50 | 78,686,790 CHF |
Shorter odds are not automatically better value — shorter-odds games pay smaller top prizes. Cost per unit of chance (price × odds) is the cleanest single comparison.
Since 2019, winnings from Swiss lotteries and sports betting (Swisslos, Loterie Romande) are tax-free up to CHF 1 million per win. Only the portion above CHF 1 million is taxed as income, and a 35% anticipatory tax is withheld on that excess (credited against the final assessment).
