Korea taxes lottery prizes at a combined 22% up to ₩300 million and 33% on the portion above (income + local tax).

South Korea: the rules

Korean lottery winnings are taxed at 22% (20% income tax plus 2% local tax) on prizes above KRW 50,000, rising to 33% on the portion exceeding KRW 300 million. The tax is withheld before payout by the operator (Donghaeng Lottery).

1 year from the draw date.
