Turkey
Turkey withholds 20% inheritance-and-transfer tax on lottery prizes above an annually set exemption.
Winnings from Milli Piyango and other state-sanctioned games of chance are subject to 20% inheritance-and-transfer tax (veraset ve intikal vergisi) on the portion above an annually indexed exemption — TRY 66,935 for 2026. The tax is withheld before the prize is paid, so winners receive the net amount.
